Questions and answers.

What does Thwipe AI do?

We collect money that customers owe your business. You upload your unpaid invoices; we contact your debtors, in our law firm’s name or in your own business’s name, answer their replies and agree how they will pay, within limits you set.

Is it run by AI or by people?

Both. The AI reads your files, writes to your debtors and answers their replies. People at the firm deal with anything that needs a person, such as a dispute or a complaint.

Can I start with one invoice?

Yes. Upload one invoice or a whole spreadsheet, and add more whenever you like. We show you what we found before anything is sent to a debtor.

How do you contact my debtors?

By email, SMS and phone call, at the hour each debtor usually answers. Emails and SMS go out between 07:00 and 19:00, Monday to Saturday, and never on Sundays or South African public holidays. Calls are made between 08:00 and 18:00, Monday to Friday; between 09:00 and 13:00, Saturday, and never on Sundays or South African public holidays. Either in our law firm's name, or in your business's name if you prefer.

Whose name do my debtors see?

When our law firm collects, every email, SMS and call, and the letter of demand, goes out in the name of Taylor Torrington Inc, acting for your business. When you collect in your own name, emails, SMS and calls go out in your business's name, and the law firm is not mentioned. Thwipe AI is the name on the messages we send to you. Every message and call to a debtor says that it is automated.

What if a debtor asks to pay less, or later?

You set the limits first: how much discount, and how many months. The AI agrees anything inside them. Anything outside them is sent to you to decide.

Can I ask it about my accounts?

Yes. Ask Thwipe AI questions in plain words, such as “Who promised to pay this week?”, and it answers from your own accounts. It only sees your own business's accounts.

What does it cost to collect in my own name?

A monthly fee plus VAT, paid by card through PayFast: R650 for 10, R1,450 for 25, R3,900 for 100 or R8,500 for 400 accounts at a time. We take nothing from what you collect. You can change or cancel the plan at any time. How chasing in your own name works

Where does the money go?

When our law firm collects, debtors pay into our trust account. We check each payment against the bank and pay it over to you, less our fee. When you collect in your own name, debtors pay you directly.

Can I hand an account from my own name to the law firm?

Yes, with one click. The law firm takes over the same account with its full history, so nothing is retyped.
